There’s no doubt about it—things are very, very hard right now. The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit has partnered with Mood Lifters to offer this program to Jewish community members throughout Michigan at no cost thanks to the generosity of the Ravitz Foundation.

Improve Your Relationships + Mood + Resilience + Purpose

Depression? Anxiety? Stress? Mood Lifters meets you where you are. Over the course of 15 weekly meetings, you will learn the most effective strategies to manage life - and not just today - but for the curve balls life may throw at you tomorrow, next month or next year.

Evidenced-based = It Works

Mood Lifters was tested in a randomized control trial, the gold standard for scientific research. Participants show statistically significant decreases in depressive and anxiety symptoms and negative emotions.

Our Strategy. Your Strength.

Each week, your group (8-15 people like you) will discuss the latest science related a specific topic. After learning about the topic you will apply this knowledge to set your goal(s) for the upcoming week. Over the next 7 days your “homework” is to practice your goals - the secret to your success - because practice makes perfect and habits don’t change overnight!

Peer Power

All groups are led by a specially-trained peer leader - a previous program participant who wants to help others experience the same life-changing success. On-going research proves that our peer leaders are just as effective as professionally-trained providers.

You are not alone in this journey - 8-15 of your peers will join you every week! While each will have their own unique challenges and concerns - you share a common goal - to live a happy and healthy life! Support from your group is just another ingredient in the recipe for improved mental fitness.
